Accessibility Statement

I want this site to be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use to browse it. Accessibility is something I also build into client work, so I hold this site to the same standard.

Conformance target

This site is built with the goal of meetingWCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines. That includes things like semantic HTML, keyboard-navigable menus and forms, visible focus states, descriptive link text, and alt text on meaningful images. This is an active goal rather than a certification. See "Known limitations" below for where I still have work to do.

What's in place today

• Semantic headings and landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) throughout the site
• A keyboard-operable navigation menu with correct aria-expanded states
• Visible focus outlines on interactive elements
• Alt text on informative images; decorative icons hidden from screen readers
• Form fields with associated labels and required-field indicators
• Color choices intended to meet contrast guidelines against their backgrounds

Known limitations

This site is actively maintained, and accessibility review is ongoing rather than a one-time checklist. If you encounter a specific barrier, whether that's a control that doesn't work with a screen reader, text that's hard to read, or anything else, I want to know about it so I can fix it.

Third-party content

The assessment form uses Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection and submits through Formspree. I've chosen these specifically because they support keyboard and screen-reader use, but I don't control their code directly, so I can't guarantee every aspect of their behavior.
